Digital Artists

Loretta Lux
She was born 1969 in Dresden, East Germany and she's known as a fine art photographer. She also is known for her surreal portraits of young children. She currently lives and works in Monaco.
The artist executes her compositions using a combination of photography, painting and digital manipulation.
Lux's work - at once alluring and self envigorating- usually features young children and is influenced by a variety of sources. She originally trained as a painter at Munich Academy of Art, and is influenced by painters such as Agnolo BronzinoDiego VelázquezPhillip Otto RungeLux’s photographs delve into notions of childhood, the unfolding story of growing up and “the discovery of self and the equivocal connection between self and world,” as she puts it.

Here are a few of her pictures that are known for portraits of young children.

I found her work amazing to look at, i like the way her work comes across really different to other photographers and quite thought they were strange. I think that her pictures are all really clear and the lightening is very bright. You can see in her work that she uses photoshop and some pictures show thats its obvious. Lux's digitally composed images but there is more to Lux's photographs than inherent peculiarity.

I like the way Lux's uses the same child a few times in her images and makes them different each time, which i really like that she keeps a few for her photographs to the same image. This image Lux's has used photoshop as it shows in the image that the ball is falling, the colours are bright and clear. You can't stop wondering about the stories behind these children.

Loretta Lux uses photoshop to manipulate fantasy images of children exploring innocence. Lux's uses photoshop to manipulate fantasy images of children exploring different things. I want to do something that involved digital media.... I like this image it shows this character is shy and quiet. Her eyes are really blue and the photograph is clear.

This image you can tell that she's used photoshop, Lux's has made this girl look older than what she is, its looks fake and her hair doesn't look real neither does her face fall of makeup, but i like the affect and the colour to this picture.
